The Standard Horizon HX230S has been called the best handheld VHF ever built. This one has been very little used, and kept mostly at home in storage. The attached rechargeable CNB230 battery pack is getting very weak, but a new one will last for many years. It would need replacing: they can be had for around $85.00. The package I have includes the CSA240 'desktop' rapid charger (designed to accept other Standard models, too), and the complete user's manual.
