Re: Storm Sail

What is the luff attachment method? If it's a luff tape, what size is it and does it have backup grommets? Is the sail orange or some other distinguishing color or feature? Can you provide some dimensions? Who was the sailmaker? Thanks. Ted

Re: Storm Sail

The storm sail is a 1990 but has never been out of the bag. The foot is 11' and is 21' high. It is hank on and white.

zeehag,
i already have a storm jib, and am about to rig my inner forestay as soon as I fix my bowsprit.
I wish I had my old smaller sails( for a smaller Columbia) I had sold my exteas after selling my previous boat. I dont mind using any other small jib if I had it. I would reenforce the tack clew and heaf for that purpose. Otherwise I would still have to look for something.
it looks this might be good size. I think when he said its 21 feet high probanly means the luff.not sure.
thanks.
