Ta Chaio CT 43 Garden Ketch

I bought it with all the hopes in the world that I would sail her out of Lake Michigan someday and wouldn't you know it...It is too much for me.

Located in Northern Indiana, Low Boy trailer comes with sale ($10,00 value). Boat has all of its teak interior and teak deck. Diesel engine, Cypress masts, rigging, Mainsail, jib, storm jib, gimbaled stove/oven etc.

I paid $40,000 but will take $25,000. If you live within three hours of me, the shipping is free. I sold a semi truck to a friend who owes me a favor.

If I hadn't started on my CT 35 I would be interested.
I will see if a sailing friend is interested.

But, wouldn't that be a great boat to cruise the North Channel of Georgian Bay. Do you really have to give up on the dream?

Re: Ta Chaio CT 43 Garden Ketch

My only other option is to sell some of the parts...sails, etc. in order to be able to afford my home and boat. I would prefer to sell it to someone who can complete the process and I will start again when the time is right. Divorce has a way of making you choose which is really important. Lou

Are you sure about the model of that boat? is it not a CT 41?
CT 43's that I can find anything about are sloops and more modern. Not Bill Garden designs.

This looks like a CT 41 which is the big brother to my CT 35. both Garden designs.

Yes...I am sorry. It is a 41. I always mix it up because with the sprit, it is closer to 43. I have tons of pictures too.

It also is also shrink wrapped to protect the deck from the elements.

I do have the bowsprit, as well as the traveler, rigging, new commode, holding tanks, spreaders, booms, a few bronze portals, cushions (need recovered), benches and radar.

Upon completion of sale, I will also throw in a $900 survey I had done about a year ago.
