I thought I'd try to add a couple of pictures before we left internet service for the Exuma Land and Sea Park for a week or so...

Re: Tayana 48 year 2000 hull 66

Made a move to Nassau yesterday. It was a sweet ride, wind at 130 degrees true dong up to 7.2 with the spinnaker in 14 kts. Mostly at 6.3 in 12 though.

Just a note: We would be willing to consider a smaller "weekender" boat of quality in partial trade for NOMAD.

Here's a picture of the new boat dog -- Gypsy Jazz Rock of NOMAD (known worldwide as Gypsy)

We lost our last Australian Shepard (Jazz) last September...It was different traveling without a dog last season so we decided to jump back in.

NOMAD has been inspected and approved by Gypsy and given a 5 star rating.

Traveling with a dog is difficult, traveling without one is impossible.

Re: Tayana 48 year 2000 hull 66

Finding ourselves in the midst of an algae emergency (Google: St Lucie river algae bloom/Okeechobee water way, Governor Scott declares state of emergency), we find ourselves this morning moving north to Cocoa, Fl.

Anybody have an opinion about this one?

Re: Tayana 48 year 2000 hull 66

We continue to maintain NOMAD to the highest level. I just replaced the inverter with a Magnum 2500 and the aft stateroom air conditioning unit. We have had some serious lookers at NOMAD, but have yet to connect.

Now the days are getting shorter and although I wouldn't say there is a briskness in the air, it is not so overbearingly, Florida hot.

We are in the process of preparing the boat to return to the Bahamas for another great season. We would be interested in talking to anyone wanting to go that way...We travel slowly enjoying every minute along the path.

Here is another picture of Gypsy, now 6 months old (today). As all puppies, she has been a handful but is beginning to crack off towards being more dog like. She has no clue what to expect in the islands. And that's fun to the very core. Every day is a new adventure!

Sea ya!

When is the right time to buy a boat?

Yes, this is the question we put to a broker about 12-13 years ago. His response was, "when the owners are ready to sell".

We (the admiral and I) have had a heart to heart and decided it is time to sell (seriously) NOMAD. This is due to some health issues out of our control and newly diagnosed. It is time begin the price reductions.

Price reduced to $325,000.

Time to bring on the offer, no telling what happens then.
