I'd like to buy your Bantam centerboard

Only problem is I need it to be shipped to Vermont - is that something you want to mess with?
Thanks

Hi Stuart,

Where in VT are you located? Which Bantam do you have? I recently picked up a partial-restore wooden version and am located in Maine.

Bantam #741

Hi Ethan -
The boat is in North Bennington,in my Dad's barn, where it retired in about 1970, after a career on Seneca Lake in Geneva NY. My Dad has owned it since about 1962 I think. Before it moved into the barn it spent a couple of years outside, and the lower bow section got rotted out. About 15 years ago I think I started working on it, when I was visiting. (I live in Portland Ore, but am hoping to move back in a year or so) It now sports a carbon fiber bow section, a few replaced ribs and bulkheads, and is actually ready to go back in the water - as soon as I spruce up the trailer a bit, and find a tow vehicle. I was looking for an aluminum centerboard as the current one is steel, and seems like it would put a real strain on those old bones. I saw your boat and postings when I went looking yesterday on a whim... Your boat looks a bit better built than my Dad's, I have some pictures somewhere if I can find them...
It was a great boat to sail, pops up on a plane quickly, very fast at least for it's time. Also very comfortable though.

Cheers
Stu
