I wish you luck in finding your boat. $2500 might not seem like a lot of $$ to some, but when that's what you've got to work with, you do what you can. There are a lot of fixer uppers. Keep lookin'. you'll find something.

For Suez Canal transit probably best type suez canal transit fees yacht 2010 and you will get a bunch of hits. I believe Suez charges by the volume and there are agent, port, etc fees and the bribes.

A 33 foot boat transiting 2007 paid 480 USD (total, incl. the bribes). A 70 ft transiting 2010 paid 4500.

Try Noonsite too - often there is the info (one needs) in the user's posts under a specific country (Egypt, I assume).
