Wanted; 33' to 38' Bluewater Sailboat

I am interested in buying a turn key live aboard sailboat. I might be convinced to buy a boat I could have ocean ready with a few weeks of work. The boat should be 33" to 38" with a strong fiberglass construction. I am planning on sailing across the South Atlantic in a few years, so it needs to be blue water capable or easily upgraded to that capability. I am going to be living aboard full time for the next few years. I prefer safety and capability to a comfortable interior. I recently left the army, anything more than a cot and a canvas tent is comfortable enough. I would like to spend less than $40,000 U.S. Dollars, but I might be persuaded to spend a bit more for the right boat. I am going to be single handing this boat. I am located in Southern Alabama, so I would prefer to find one in Northwest Florida or Alabama. If you are interested in a trade involving my truck, it would be much easier for me to pick up a boat further away. I have a 4x4 crew cab 2005 White Dodge Ram 2500 SLT Cummins Diesel with manual transmission and manual transfer case. It has 93,000 miles right now. It has in dash stereo, navigation, & back up cam, EDGE CTS monitor, prodigy trailer brake controller, Curtis bed mount trailer adapter, gooseneck adapter, in bed tool box with 41 gallon auxiliary tank, and more.

I can be contacted at Michael.Herman14@gmail.com Thank you for your time.

MEH, I have a 1979 Tayana 37 in Key Largo, Fl. No teak decks and all rigging replaced by previous owner; aluminum mast. Engine has less than 1800 hrs. No major issues, although needs a compressor for the fridge. Surveyed last April, appraised at $40.5k. Can send pics if interested. Ken

Thank you for the notice. I actually have an offer in on a Westsail 32 and will be conducting the survey on Friday. If the deal falls through I will let you know.

I have purchased a beautiful 1974 Westsail 32. I am not sure how to delete this thread. It is no longer necessary.

Actually, the Mods can remove the thread.
