Want To Buy: Wanted catamaran in florida 150k

Hi,
I'm in Australia and flying to florida in January where I have a broker looking at 38ft catamarans for me.
I want to cruise the caribbean till September and sail it to new zealand for their summer. Not buy in aus and sail to caribbean because of time constraints.

Problem is the exchange rate from 250k aud to usd i loose over 25%. My usd buget is small, only about usd 150k max and that wont leave me much to survive on for cruising and fitting out and extras.

Am I being unrealistic. Im looking for older Lagoon380s and Fountaine Pajots because of the safe reputations. And im 6ft2 so headroom is a must.

Does anyone know of a good ocean capable cat for sale in Florida , im not familiar with what different brands have to offer in that price range.
I imagine if its listed with other broker my broker stands to make more money than from private sail. But at least I can pass it on to them.
Anyway if anyone knows of a suitable cat in florida could you please let me know.

Also there's several PDQ 36 in FL, not sure if it truly checks the offshore box , check craigslist in Tampa, St Augustine, south Florida fort Myers, Georgia, etc. Periodically good deals come up.

Late model maxim, 38 in Panama had a lightning strike but alot of stuff works, engines run, low hours for around or under 100k.

just joined so it's probably too late.
We own a 1988 50' Prout quasar which might interest you if your handy. She has great potential for refitting but don't get me wrong, SHE SAILS EVERY WEEKEND. Motors are original and run well, new/used transmissions. New galley. sails are a couple of years old. A brand new $2400 breaker panel installed but no electronics, yet. The new $700 Jabsco toilet has never been used. I could go on....
Medical emergency put me out of the game.
