You lazy git, have a look at Richard Woods website and design, his 28/30 footer is so easy and cheap to build, you can fund it as you go along, you could have build 2/3rds of it by now. Fact you have a job and on a computer means you can afford a cat!!!!

Dont just dream in your office, get out there and look!!

Also I notice you from UK, there are so many good designs going dirt cheap there, go around the yards and moorings, ...Older Prouts, Catalacs, etc.

Hi REDTWIN,
Lazy, why not, what is the point in struggling, you only live once
I met Richard (when he was permanently based down at Millbrook - only 35 miles from me) about 12 years ago when I bought some plan for the Pixie 14 ft beach cat which I did in fact build.
Now I am 51 and as I do not want to damage my surgeons hands by building another boat I will have to get somebody else build it for me, but I am also impatient that's why I asked for a free one.
I have now come to my senses and realise that there is nobody out there with such generosity so I will have to buy one after all.
Cheers
Ian

Would you be interested in a 46' Cantana with a way too loud radio? There's one two slips down from me. The keys are left in one of those fake soda cans under the cockpit table. You are weclome to come and get it anytime monday through friday when the owners aren't..........uh...... I'm mean when the marinas not so busy.

the best day to steazl a boat is on a Monday...usually gives you three or four days before the owner shows up so give you a head start.

Hmphf

I just wish we could find a live aboard catamaran for $140K thereabouts that isn't a P.O.S.

have spent $$ for surveys on two of these dogs...er cats.

Would someone please put a legitimate ad on Yachtworld for a boat that isn't in pitiful shape for a cat in that price range that can actually sail away from the dock and be lived on?

thank you!

thanks

will check to see if it is a passage maker.

we have a few requirements that generally eliminate most catamarans/monohulls:
can't have balsa core
for catamarans, stern must not be so low in cockpit that waves slap the bottom
must be bluewater passage maker (waffling on that one)

will review Victory catamarans

thanks very much!

It is only 36ft.
Every cat will have some wave slap.

ps: If I was ready to buy, she would have already been surveyed!

So here goes (tongue in cheek) , as I cannot afford what I want just yet and I am willing to collect from anywhere, what I would like (in order of importance) is as follows:
Lagoon 410 or S2
Lavezzi 40
Lagoon 380 or s2
Lagoon 42
Lagoon 37
Kennex 380
Maxim 380
Athena 38

I will sit here eagerly awaiting all offers,
Thanks
I'm right there with you on your list of boats, as that is pretty much exactly what I'm looking for as well. Free or subsidized would be GREAT, but will also purchase if I can find a really good deal on a quality boat. Please message me if anyone has anything out there!
