Westerly Renown Ketch, Complete Refurb, (Aft Cabin) Washington

Hi there. We are selling our bluewater boat. We moved aboard in April after a total new refit and now we are wanting to keep the lifestyle up but with a different boat.

This thing is stout. Built in England to Lloyd's standards for the English Channel and Atlantic crossings.

year 1976
LOA 32.5'
beam 10'
Draft 4.5'

Rare fin keel with partial skeg hung rudder.
2004 fresh water cool Yanmar 30 (barely 600 hours) ($25K)
2009 full set of bluewater full batten sails (UK Halsey). ($9K) plus three other sails
2009 Harken MK4 Cruising Furler
New instruments
new standing rigging. ($8K)
2013 iPad with waterproof case and full world charts with Active Captain and Bluetooth BadElf GPS syncing
New sea strainer and thru hull $1300
New 200' 5/16th G4 high test chain and a Rocna 15 Anchor, (I sleep good)
Removeable inner forestay has a new storm jib for running like a cutter ketch in a blow.
New manual Lavac head and tanks and hoses. no smell.
80 gallons of water in stainless.
22 gallons in diesel.
new wiring & inverter
2013 new batteries
new engine mounts, battery cables, belts, and impeller in 2012
new control panel $2800 (Blue Sea)
2014- 200 Watts of solar that you can walk on.
4 new Anderson (2x self tailing) winches $4K
new upholstery and custom rugs throughout. new memory foam mattress topper.
professionally carpeted walls and ceiling where its not teak. feels like a cabin inside.
true privacy with forward v berth cabin and an aft cabin.
full enclosure capabilities. canvas in very good condition, the custom large hardtop is perfect for the PNW. I recommend removal or replacement before tackling a hurricane off Cabos.
over 6' headroom inside cabin
two oil lanterns.
new Dickson Newport Propane heater that's very toasty, safe and efficient.
Plus heated radiant floor mats under the rugs. warm toes. silent. very efficient. waterproof. (Shore power recommended.)
awesome bright interior with new dimmable LED lighting inside and all LED nav lights out. great ventilation with burly aluminum ports.
awesome steering feel of the wheel with ease of balancing the trim with the mizzen mast. it sails itself.
Has autopilot but I would add a wind vane to cross an ocean. and maybe a water maker and an Iverson dodger.

reduced to $40K for a turn key safe simple boat. I got receipts for over $50K in refit since 2004.

32.5' overall includes the bowsprit
10,800 lbs 4700lbs of keel

Westerly Renown Ketch bluewater designed by the awesome Laurent Giles. His designs are trusted by some of the most famous names in sailing like Hiscock, Guzzwell, Ellam and Illingworth to name a few.

Hit us up for a sea trial. Fly Kenmore Air right into our dock on Fisherman Bay of Lopez.

True privacy on a 32' boat! Think of the layout as a larger version of a Nor'sea 27. Of course, the galley is way better, there is a forward stateroom, you can carry more friends in the cockpit, and the head is way roomier.

Owned by an affluent couple for twelve years before me spent their professional design experience making this the most well updated boat from the 70's I've ever seen. Designed to do the inside passage boat over and over again dependably and comfortably warm.

I live with a six year old in the aft cabin. I'm looking for a more traditional layout and larger boat as winter comes. Open to trades in the 34-40' range.
