BlackOak, here's hoping the wife just wants less of a man cave or a bigger boat. If not I wish you the best of luck on terra firma. I have very much enjoyed your adventures. You are a great writer.

Re: Wife Said SELL the boat!

As the owner of a boat that was SOW (Sale Ordered by Wife ) ones loss is anothers gain and you look to have a nice boat. I hope that someone gets to enjoy her ( the boat ) as much as you have!

Yes me personally - I'd upgrade the wife or go solo. Maybe there is a plus side to more than one wife. After all, the boat has a dinghy.

teknav - you're probably too young to remember, but those words are from a song by hank williams (the father, not the son) called 'honky tonkin'.

This is a picture of BlackOak's boat yesterday at sunset, His boat is to the right in the picture, his anchor light is on.
I would show this to him but he drove the wife home to another state yesterday and won't be back for a couple days.
She came to visit him last week and to see the boat for the first time and she "rained on his parade".

Well, anyway, if you buy his boat then this would be a picture of your backyard.
It was taken from my cockpit.

Re: Wife Said SELL the boat!

Minor grumpiness: Is it just me, or does anyone else have a wee bit of a twinge of a cringe when a sailor's boat listing quotes "sleeps six" or whatever bit of boat manufacturer brochure-ese twaddle was used to originally pimp the boat? I'd be more impressed to hear how a boat has both good sea and in-port berths.

And, from some other ads, are confirmed bachelors really scared of the boats that advertise having lots of "births" on board? I'd really avoid a boat with an "afterbirth". Sorry!
