It was moved from general classified to boats. As it states in the general sticky, if it floats it's a boat. Life rafts are supposed to vote real well.

Where is it located? Was the last three year inspection done if so where and what is the cost if inspection re packing?

Life raft is located in Naples, Florida. Yes, I will guarantee that it will "pass recertification" - that is: no defects that would prevent repacking. The repacking fee was $775 the last time I checked. It was not repacked at the 3 year mark in August 2013

Thanks for the response. I am located near you however considering the inspection and repacking cost and age it gets closer to new cost than I would like to pay. If you can split the repacking cost with me I will pick it up tomorrow.
I am looking for a reasonable back up life raft for long distance cruising.

WOC: Sorry, I could not reduce the price by half of the re-pack fee. Life raft cost me $3685 new. Best I can do is knock off $50 from the selling price.

Fully understand, however I have contacted Winslow located in my town and they have quoted between 800 to 1200 to inspect and repacking. Given that the raft was never inspected since new, I have to expect the higher end of the cost bringing the total cost to have a " confirmed good but 5 years old" to $2400. On this basis I have to decline.
