Xantrex MS2000 Pure Sine Inverter / Charger

This is a used inverter/charger that has been tested at the factory. It is in perfect working condition. The MS 2000 is an affordable high performance sine wave inverter/charger.

Designed for marine and RV applications to power advanced electronics, the MS model features 2000 watts of sine wave output and an advanced three-stage battery 100AMP battery charger, together with industry-standard networking capability.

The MS2000 is a very powerful, easy-to-use sine wave inverter/charger featuring an upgradeable design. Produces clean pure power that's perfect for your navigation equipment, home theatre components, microwaves, power tools, and lights.

MS Series Inverter/Chargers are simply the most advanced and easy to use on the market.

A power factor corrected three-stage charger provides long battery life by recharging batteries more quickly, while using less AC power. The stress-tested, UL458 Marine design delivers reliable power in demanding marine conditions.

An aluminum chassis, conformal-coated components, and high-temperature operation guarantee long-term trouble-free performance. They also meet strict electromagnetic interference standards designed to minimize interference with radios and other onboard electronics.

The Xantrex MS Model 2000 is an ideal solution for your Marine or RV power requirements, delivering up to 2000 watts of pure sine wave output from your battery bank.

Its 100 amp, power factor corrected charger ensures that your batteries are recharged quickly, using significantly less AC input current to produce the same high output charge current.

Designed for easy installation and enhanced reliability, the MS2000 comes with a large AC wiring box, side-mounted DC connections and a built-in 30 amp transfer switch that automatically transfers between inverter power and incoming AC power.

Features:

2000 watt inverter with 250% surge for five seconds
True sine wave output to power the latest appliances and electronics
0.95 power factor corrected multi-stage charger for fast, efficient charging
Xanbus network enabled (compatible with NMEA network protocol)
Meets UL458 marine standards and FCC Class B regulations
Advanced diagnostics and field upgradeable software
Full power output at 122ºF (50ºC)
Built-in 10A Echo-charge recharges auxiliary or starter batteries
Built-in transfer switch automatically transfers between inverter power and incoming AC power
Power sharing reduces charging current to prevent tripping of AC input breaker
Drip shield for UL marine compliance

Protection Features:

Battery over voltage and under voltage protection
Over temperature protection
Automatic overload protection

Re: Xantrex MS2000 Pure Sine Inverter / Charger

Why did you remove/replace it? Curious how many and what type of battery bank you had to drive this unit?

Thanks

Mike

Re: Xantrex MS2000 Pure Sine Inverter / Charger

I bought the unit refurbished in may 2011 and used it this summer on a cruise to Maine because my other unit had stopped inverting. I had the older unit repaired and re-installed it when we returned home. The MS 2000 is a big, heavy, very powerful unit that is more than we need on our sailboat. It works very well and when plugged in provides 100 AMP charging twice as fast as other chargers. I have the table that shows generator run time at half compared to other chargers, so if you have a generator aboard this would be a great unit for you. On the inverter side my wife ran her 1800 Watt hair drier at the same time we were using the TV. I can email the specs and manuals to anyone who wants them.

Our boat has wind and solar and no generator so we need a smaller inverter/charger to occasionally power TV and computers.

Our batteries are 4 each 6 volt golf cart type 220 CCA. We saw no difference on the load when inverting with either inverter.

Hope this helps.
