Yanmar 3YM30 Instrumentation

I am looking for cruisers that have installed separate analog water temperature and oil pressure gauges c/w senders on a Yanmar 3YM30 engine, possibly with part names and numbers. The local Yanmar dealers are no help and I am getting very frustrated. Contact is wimpel@shaw.ca. Thanks.

Re: Yanmar 3YM30 Instrumentation

I have installed several "engine Guardian" digital units on family turbo diesel vehicles & are doing the same with my 3GM30f. Easy to fit and measures head temperature instead of water temp so there is less delay. (if you put sensor on head bolt) Oil pressure uses OEM sender on the TD's don't know yet what I have to do for the Yanmar. Probaby has normally open circuit with closed to activate alarm. Has user configurable set point alarm for temperature.

If you insist on analogue, any automotive aftermarket store will have a suitable gauge(s) on offer.
