YANMAR 4JH2E ENGINE (SEIZED)

Hi Fellow yachties,
My Yanmar 4JH2E diesel engine is being replaced. I have many good parts for sale.
The block is cactus. But everything else is OK. So if you need anything get in touch. I'm at Beachmere QLD.

Re: YANMAR 4JH2E ENGINE (SEIZED)

Hi all,
Raw water entered the engine via exhaust system due to failure of the anti-siphon valve. This being my first yacht, I didn't even know it had anti-siphon valve.
The best way to avoid this happening is to close the raw water inlet seacock before shutting down engine. I'm not Robinson Crusoe, it happens to yachties every now and again.
I was very fortunate, my insurance company covered it. (NRMA QLD)

Cheers
Brett
