Without Baabs my life is incomplete! How can I take this as fun?:

On the other hand, she never offered to sell her boat and get a catamaran for us so perhaps its a blessing in disguise.......

As you were men (and ladies)

Re: Boat and Croissants

Well I will go to the foot of our stairs!

My message box was blessed with the arrival of a notation from Baabs which set my poor old heart all a flutter.. (The contents of said note will forever remain hidden from enquiring souls). Suffice it to say it involved water melons!

Yesterday, my new filter coffee machine arrived and I in such a lather that I must immediately partake of a strong cup to calm my beating heart lest I expire from the wanton thoughts that skip across my fevered mind.

Also, I have a wonderful full fruit pastry picked up from the Belgian Pattiserie, goes well with coffee.

Ah Baabs.......... a woman with a boat. What more could a man ask for...... er.. you dont have yellow wellies and a firemans helmet do you?..

Just asking...........

Yeah! The caffeine and sugar combo are obviously working
We are all cheering for you Weav. Keep up your stamina, sounds like you may be needing extra doses of it shortly .

PS I suggest you skip the sugar roasted Robusta and bring out the big guns to arm yourself in readiness.

Re: Boat and Croissants

Dear Baabs.

I am very happy to inform you that I have fallen in Love with you since I first gazed on your computer type of June 10 2014 at 20:24 hours. I would officially like to present myself as a suitor to be keeper of your vessel.

Our love affair would be on probation for a period of three months and depending on compatibility, would be made permanent.

Of course, upon completion of probation, there will be continuous on the job training and performance appraisal schemes leading up to promotion from suitor to spouse.

The expenses incurred for coffee and entertainment would initially be shared equally between us. Later, based on your performance, I might take up a larger share of the expenses.

However I am European and broadminded enough to be taken care of on your expense account.

I request you to kindly respond within 30 days of receiving this letter, failing which, this offer would be cancelled without further notice and I shall be considering someone else. I would be happy, if you could forward this letter to your sister, if you do not wish to take up this offer.

Thanking you in anticipation,

weavis the coffee.

Re: Boat and Croissants

Weav, 30 days is a hell of a long time for us to possibly be waiting with baited breath to hear the outcome. Remember, the world was only made in only seven.

In your excitement, did you type in a zero in error?

If not, on behalf of all CF members and your vascular system, I petition that three days is more than adequate .

Re: Boat and Croissants

Do you mean bated breath? Unless you deliberately put chocolate or rum into your inhale and exhale system then the correct spelling is bated. I am a master in this.

Suitably corrected.

It's always good to be in the hands of a master

Nay Lass of the Sea. 30 days is nothing compared to the longevity of this thread..... I must confess that my attention might stray to other matters, but I have made a note in my diary to remind myself of the offer.......

Sigh ........
I am not known for my patience.

In need of consolation, I will go make myself a coffee (pitifully lacking in quality, but a lass needs to make the most of what is available) and indulge in some Valrhona chocolate (at least chocolate supplies don't have to be inferior on board).
