Crew Available: Caribbean, Kiwi bluewater experienced and 12 yr old son

Hi. I am a 44 year old High School teacher from New Zealand. I am travelling through the Southern USA with my 12 year old son, this January, February and early March. I have done a few bluewater Pacific trips ex NZ( references available) and my son is a competent laser sailor. We own a 7 metre yacht we holiday on in NZ. I am a Volunteer Firefighter serving in our community and I’m interested in sailing and scuba diving.
We are keen to do a short passage between any Caribbean Islands or Florida in early to mid February. We are happy to fly out to meet the boat anywhere, I'm just keen to introduce him to long er cool trips. We would like to meet people with similar interests and hobbies on our travels. If you could help us achieve this in any way it would be greatly appreciated.
