Caribbean to Maryland April

Looking for experienced crew to sail from St. Thomas to Annapolis. I plan to sail the direct route. The boat is a 42' Lagoon cat.

Re: Caribbean to Maryland April

I have a lot of experience on slightly smaller craft... (Ok 22 and 24 lindenbergs) racing mostly as pitman, main/head trim and helm, I am in my mid 20's and have limited offshore experience. New to the forums and trying to find some offshore opportunities in the next few months

I'm not sure how to respond to your question. Since I'm new to seeking a crew position-I looking for a fun experience-you will have to tell what you are offering.

Hi, I live near Annapolis, recently sold my Tartan and hope to buy a cat similar to yours. I have years of sailing experience. Let me know if you still need crew in April.

Re: Caribbean to Maryland April

I have a few people lined up, but not firm. I'm also trying to get crew that will pay for their flight to St. Thomas. I will provision the boat. I have never done this before, so I don't really know the protocol. I sailed the cat around Guadeloupe in July, and my friends paid their own way. So far, the the crew that is going, can sail, but never ocean. They are humble and will pull their own weight. Having a fun crew, as well as safety is high on the list.

Re: Caribbean to Maryland April

Once I get a little closer to the departure date, I will offer to pay the airfare for an experienced crew member, to help me skipper the boat. I'm hoping to find someone that is willing to pay their air.
