It'sorta funny, but we live in the heart of TWIC country, and don't know of a recreational sailor with a TWIC card !! At least Connie and I and the folks we know that sail. or power boat don't have one!! How come yall want a card required for offshore workers and sailors ?? not for rec sailors really !! Just askin?? But if it will get me a Boobie pic I will try to get one !! LOL

You want a Boobie pic from Teknav?
(He is the only one currently requiring TWIC cards)

I'd rather have a murderess I trust who can sail and looks good than your list of credentials. They're meaningless when you leave the dock.

You're really confused about this thread and how to recruit crew.

Do you have pictures of your boobies?

Re: clever, sweet girl from holland

Hiya Lassie! This thread has brought me a lot of chuckles and laughter! Thank you all who participated! Keep it coming!

For the records, I am neither looking for a sailing crew nor looking for boobies. The crews that I fly with are all FAA licensed pilots with decades of seamanship experience; a float plane is considered as a flying boat.

As far as the TWIC card is concerned, it was a hypothetical statement on when choosing a sailing crew and having his/her criminal background checked. I have read a few times about folks who are willing to leave everything/everyone behind, leave at any time from anywhere on a short notice to anywhere. I don't think I'd hire someone with that kind of "loose end." Maybe some sailors might do that; I would not!

"Murderess" is somewhat judgemental - and often enough is simply a legal technicality. IMO it is along the lines of the tree falling in a forest thing........

.......in any event, when you encounter Pirates do you want someone onboard who has an ability (even if not documented) to wade through body parts knee deep? - or someone who will have an attack of the vapours?

I still miss da Missus . and her boobies
