Connecticut/RI/Mass Coastal Cruising

HI -

I am looking for volunteer crew for short to medium cruising trips around the southeast New England area. Based in Mystic, Conn. and ranging east to Cape Cod. and Nantucket.

This was the first year with the boat I mostly day sailed, but would like to stretch her legs a little, and some company would make that a lot more enjoyable.

I am a retired aerospace engineer that enjoys relaxed sailing on my Union 32 sailboat. As a rule, this means fair weather, daytime sailing. Anchoring or berthing in the evening, depending on the port.

The Union is designed by Ted Brewer and traditional in style. SHe was designed with blue water passages in mind and is most capable of safe and comfortable coastal cruising. She has a v-berth, a quarter berth and two settees. Probably most comfortable cruising with 2 or 3 on board.

So, if you would like to get away for a week or two cruise this summer, and willing to share expenses, give me a shout.

Please, no drinking while sailing, no smoking below decks, no drugs.

Cruising goals, references, qualifications, experience desired. A social meeting to get acquainted, lunch or dinner, is a must.

Thanks,

Paul D.
