Crew Available: Puerta Vallarta - Advice for Getting Crewing, Please

Hi all

I have recently landed in Puerto Vallarta and am in Mexico till the end of Jan. I'm keen to get some crewing action to build up my experience and continue the learning that I started in the UK with the Competent Crew certificate, which I loved. Also I'm really looking forward to meeting new people leading different lives, 2010 is a big New Year for me having chosen to give up my job of 6 years before Christmas.

If anyone has any advice or contacts I'd really appreciate it. I am looking for accommodation north of Vallarta for a bit more of a peaceful pace, but plan to stay within reach of the marina for now.

Look forward to hearing from you
Best
Thea

Greetings and welcome aboard the CF, Thea.

You might check in with rod55, to see what he advises. He’s currently in PV.

Get near a VHF radio and listen to the cruiser's morning net on channel 22.
It's probably on about 9 AM.
Say what you did here when they come to the category of either "new arrivals" or "Crew wanted or needed".
