Crew Out of Oahu ?

Hello everyone, my name is Brian Herron, I'm 29 years old and I'm a substitute teacher here on Oahu. I'm originally from Cape May New Jersey, and am planning on trying to make my way back to the states this summer for work and play. I have plenty of sailing experience as I have owned and sailed sunfush, hobie 16's, small daysailers such as a 22ft Ranger, as well as small cruisers, my last one being a 25ft O'day--my most favorite boat ever. I also have some experience on bigger boats as my father owns a 40ft Endeavor in Cape May.

If anyone has any info on finding a crew position out of Oahu towards the beginning of May it would be deeply appreciated. I don't really even know where to start, I guess the yacht clubs?

Thanks

bh

Hi again Brian,
There used to be some bulletin boards down at the Ala Wai Yacht Harbor for crew notification and go to the fueling dock down there to see if they have any recommendations. They are very helpful folks. Its the next roadway seaward of the Hawaii Yacht Club.
regards,

Keep tabs on the various races that stem from the mainland to Hawaii...I know there are boats that have crew available for only one leg and and may need help getting the boat back.

The ferry back will be a lot less demandaing and more laid back as well.
