Crew Wanted: Keys and Bahamas

43 ft Gulfstar on the way to the Bahamas. One crew member forced to leave due to family issues. Need replacement. Looking for experienced sailor to join crew of two others. Will be cruising the Keys before jumping off to the Bahamas. Boat currently in Charleston. Expected length of cruise 6 to 7 months. Not necessary that you commit for the duration. Just a couple of guys having fun and sailing.

Do you have approximate dates for when you will be on the south Florida leg of your trip. If things work out I may be available. I have done some sailing down here and wrote a couple of e-articles about it. I'll try to post links on my facebook page. Elina Flores, 305-394-7954

Open to Charleston to the Keys Segment

I would like to join the initial part of the voyage. Since I am near Savannah taking the southbound leg would be a good fit.

I have years of racing on J105 (Chicago NOOD Overall Winner 2006) with some offshore experience. Sailed cats and scorpions as a youth off of Tybee Island, GA and Ft. Meyers Beach, FL. Currently have a Catalina 25 Tall Rig.

I can handle all positions, can cook very well, and am a former EMT. I also have very good technical and mechanical skills.

My name is Gary Elkins and I am very interested in this opportunity.

I live in Toccoa, GA and I could make it to Charleston to depart on Dec. 10. I am a professor and my classes are finished just before the 10th.

I have some experience sailing. I have been part of a crew on some day sails in Holland and Ireland. I had one offshore opportunity on the Irish Sea.

Bottom line - I have some experience sailing and I am a quick learner. I have a good work ethic and am a non-smoker, non-drinker.

I have one question - when do you plan to depart? Also, I will need to fly back by Dec. 23rd.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Gary Elkins

Greetings,

I would like to work as a crew in your boat. I am a marine engineer graduate and working in a vessel for almost 10 years.
