Crew Wanted: NY to Ft Lauderdale...

We're leaving soon if any experienced sailors would like to make the trip. We lost two of our crew members last week so we have two spots....

What make of catamaran? Why did crew leave? What terms are you offering? Need to know a bit more before offering my services? No offense intended.

Sorry no replies I've been really busy. I'm headed to the boat now for a meeting with our crew and capt.
Our Capt is a very experienced Polish sailor. He has sailed around Cape Horn, to Antartica, across the Atlantic quite a few times and back and forth from Fla. inside and outside a number of times.
One of the crew got a hernia right before we were to leave, and seeing as we were shorthanded we pushed our departure date out past the holiday weekend so we could get a good team together.

The boat is a 60' custom Gil's Catamaran. It was launched in 1988, refit and 1993, and we having been working on her all summer getting her seaworthy to get her down the coast.

I'll know for sure if i need extra hands tonight. Thanks for all the replies.

The plan is to leave Brooklyn head to Sandy Hook, top off our tanks. Head to Norfolk, top off again. Then head out and around Cape Hatteras and come back in at Wilmington or Charleston. Then finish up to FL.
It is unpaid, basically just the chance to sail on a big nice fast catamaran. There's only one chance to sail this thing down cause we're staying down in the Caribbean were it's nice and warm....

Ahoy,

I was planning the same trip, but have had to put my boat (Hunter 37c) on the hard in Tom's River, NJ for some engine work. I would be glad to sign on and crew with you down to Fla as my boat will not be ready until spring. I am 53, excellent sailor over 30 years experience, familiar with all systems onboard and crew positions. I can get along with anyone (except my ex).

Hello,

I am inquiring about your request for some crew from NY - Ft Lauderdale.

Please let me know if you're still looking for someone and we'll go from there.

Thanks,
