Crew Wanted Sea of Cortez, Mexico May to August

Hi

I've just bought a 36ft Ketch currently located in San Carlos Mexico. I will be spending May to early August trialling her on the Sea of Cortez and preparing her to cruise the pacific coast of Central America and then across the Pacific from Panama.

I'm looking for people who interested in doing some trips in the sea of cortez, with a mix of sailing, fishing, swimming and projects to get the boat ready for longer distance trips.

The boat is ran on a shared cost basis around $250USD per week depending on what's going on with the boat. With the potential for people to stay on longer if there's projects that need doing, and people have the appropriate skills (from helping replace the rig to interior and exterior varnish and general boat prep)

Re: Crew Wanted Sea of Cortez, Mexico May to August

Hi Dawntreader,

My girlfriend and I are currently in Panama looking to crew with a boat from here across the Pacific. Will you be looking for crew for this leg? If so, when do you expect to make the leap?

We're qualified to Competent Crew level and have 1,500 miles and 100+ night hours logged each. We can cook, clean, provision, tie knots and don't get seasick!

Give me an e-mail on tom[dot]harvey[at]me[dot]com or send me a private message / reply to this thread.

Thanks!

Tom & Yaz

Hi
I have been around boats of all shapes and size. I have extensive experience in boat refit refurbish and construction. I have worked on FG, Wood, Alum, Steel, and Faro. My main experience is in custom FG, wiring, woodworking, rigging. My girlfriend and I are looking to get away for about 2-3 weeks and I would love to give you a hand with some bigger projects and do some sailing.
