Daysailing Hudson River Plus Cruise

Always looking for weekend daysailers who would like to sail the Hudson out of Haverstraw. Would also consider one or two for my mid-summer cruise out to Martha's Vineyard and back...approx. 3 weeks in duration.

32' Ericson.

2 rules:

1. You have to like dogs.

2. No single ladies, please. My wife says the boat is the only mistress I'm allowed to have.

Re: Daysailing Hudson River Plus Cruise

We like dogs (used to sail with two), wife does not appear to be single and I'm orginally from the Hudson Valley but do come back now and then.

Anymore rules?

LMAO! Sure...ummm... no high-heeled spikes aboard...ummm...no open fires....sense of humor required...sense of enjoyment of sailing also appreciated.

C'mon aboard. I'll be sailing both Saturday and Sunday this weekend and next.

Re: Daysailing Hudson River Plus Cruise

I can live with no open fires. Although there was that time my BBQ flamed out and a guy on shore (I was anchored out) yelled at me because of the fire danger. Maybe he thought I'd drag anchor to shore.

But the spike heels might be deal breaker.

Anyway, thanks for the offer this weekend but we're across the country. We'll look you up next time visiting the old haunts.

Re: Daysailing Hudson River Plus Cruise

Hi Dennis:If you recall ,I too have deep roots in New Paltz and surely we know many of the same characters, Will be in the Great Salt pond during race week and cruising about S. of Cape Cod on Houdini afterwards ,am often alone ,but in any case I would welcome a gam……glad to see your dog appears unaffected by your Buzzards bay misadventures …..my dog refuses to even walk down a dock or even get out of my car at Norrie Pt. marina. He has never even tasted salt water, don't know what I did wrong.
I enjoy crew myself.. always happy when they come….always happy when they leave !

Hi Mike,

When's race week? I have been there twice during the races, and THe Oar is always a more fun place to be at that time. Reserve me a mooring in the Salt Pond, okay?
