Delivery - Newcastle to Melbourne 23rd April

Looking for help to crew a 2011 12m Lagoon 400 sailing catamaran down East Coast of Australia from Newcastle, to Melbourne. Plan is to leave Newcastle around Monday 23rd April with the trip expected to take around 1 week (weather permitting). The boat has a good selection of both general & safety equipment plus comfortable accommodation. There is at present a skipper and crew of 2 but looking for a couple more experienced hands. All on board expenses covered.

HI Silvana

I would be interested in joining your trip. I have limited long distance sailing experience, but have chartered multis in the Whitsundays for 7-10 days each of the last ten years. I am well experienced race sailor on a range of boats, currently weekly racing on a Couta boat on Pittwater.
Small problem, with the short notice I wouldn't be able to be in Newcastle until Monday evening. Happy to contribute to food costs

Regards

Peter S

So is that the Lagoon Franciose (sorry about the spelling) had for sale down the Maritime Museum wharf at Newcastle? If so she is in perfect condition. He was absolutely pedantic making sure she was in sail-away condition for the next owner. Top buy!

Re: Delivery - Newcastle to Melbourne 23rd April

Hi there. I am available to help on the 23rd. I'm 20 years old, unfortunately with no experience in big boats but a good foundation sailing dinghies and very keen to learn all I can. I'm hoping to gain experience with the view of doing a solo circumnavigation - so I'm not about to lay around or waste anyone's time!

Providing I have enough time to organise an airfare, I can definitely spare a week to help with this. Please email quickly at js.mitchell at hotmail dot com or text me at 04 20 62 21 27.

Thanks,
Jen
