Name is Brandon I am 21 I am fit and eager to learn about sailing. I have never sailed before but I am very very eager to learn. I have money. But I need to leave canada before november perhaps any where tropical because I don't like the winter any more. I am a hard worker, I'll cook, clean and do what ever maintenance that is available. All in all this is a great opportunity if you want someone to do all the work.

Not the world, did some local sailing in BC where I owned a small sailboat. One trip from Key West to Cuba, Mexico and Belize. I dropped an alternator on my foot and had to leave the boat in Belize. That trip was not on a happy boat.

Be very careful who you go with. You are in very close quarters and you just don't know how people will react in stressful situations. You are also getting on a small boat with strangers and you have no idea who or what they are.

In my opinion, you should not have to contribute to expenses on the boat. You are already contributing your labor and your travel expenses. Expenses off the boat are of course your expenses.

I hope this helps you and anyone else looking to crew on a boat. This is of course, just my opinion.

I will be sailing a 32' sloop to the Bahamas in early October and could use some company as well as help. I will be leaving from NYC. My wife cannot make the trip. I have grand children your age but am still tuned into the younger crowd. I am also Cdn. Contact me if you are interested.
