Female, 28, Looking for Crew Position !

Located in Portland, Oregon but would be available to fly else where to join a crew. Taken ASA 101, ASA 103 is on the books to start Aug 4th and then will be looking for crew possibilities to get some ocean going experience! I'm friendly, outgoing, love to laugh and enjoy life!

Re: 28 Female looking for crew position!

If you don't mind hanging out with racers, check out the sportboat area -- lots of sporties in the Columbia Gorge. Or, if you are at the opposite end of the interest scale and looking for blue-water long-distance, maybe there will be a bunch of boats migrating south in a couple of months for the Baja HaHa and Mexico. Another great way to make connections is to volunteer to help with local regattas.

Welcome to CF SimoniM… I think you can tell from some of the posts above, why some sailors are much better on their own.
If you could be more specific about what type of crewing you wish to do;
Ie: Racing, Paid crew, Cruising, Day sailing….? …..we may have some more constructive advice.
Good luck!

Re: Female, 28, Looking for Crew Position !

Thanks for the helpful advice to those that posted it. I would be interested in racing in the Gorge/Portland area, have looked into it a bit already through the sailing school where I'm taking the ASA courses and blue water cruising else where depending on the dates needed.
