Looking for That Special Crew

I am 50, blond with blue eyes, french native speaker living in Canada for almost 15 years.

I will be leaving Victoria - Vancouver island - late in 2009 to Cabos San Lucas (Mexico) then Hawaii and Marquesas islands, Tahiti. My boat is a Hunter 42 passage, roomy and easy to sail.

I plan to stay for about 1 month or so at each stop and probably longer in Hawaii. The trip will take one year or so. Then, I plan to stay for a while in Tahiti (I was living there; years ago) and next will reach another destination that is tbd.

Knowing this, I am looking for a special crew to enjoy the trip. You need to be free for a long period of time and not be tied with kids, work or something else.

I am a very quiet person who dislikes drugs, drunk people, noise, nightclub, large cities. Rather than watching TV I prefer to read or listen to (classical) music.

If you have an interest, drop me a note to discuss further.

Suggest if you can, make yourself available for the crew parties in San Fran, and/or San Diego for the subsequent "Ba-Ha-Ha (Baja Ha-Ha Cruisers Rally: Sailing from San Diego to Cabo San Lucas)

Based on the personal experience of a number of "single-handers" I've known, cruising isn't the most ideal way to find a female first mate.

I suggest you try web sites like 'Fitness Singles', or post an ad in Latitude 38 or check their 'want to crew' list (Latitude 38 - The West's Leading Sailing and Marine Magazine)

Good luck

William
