Re: Med to Sea of Cortez....Via Carribbean y Panama

Looks like your strategy of asking a lot from strangers and providing nothing in return is really paying off.

That type of entitled solicitation always goes over big in the cruising community and I am not at all surprised by the level of success you have achieved in getting nobody to respond to your ad. Keep up the good work!

It perhaps could be considered solicitation, but I didn't intend to imply entitlement.... so you don't need to shake your typing finger at me, or use sarcastic exclamation points.
And just to clarify,
Nobody still hasn't responded.

Just because you might not think you sound like someone who feels they are entitled doesn't mean you don't come off that way.

The essential premise of this and the previous thread you started on the same topic seems to be that somehow you, a person seeking a passage, are the object of value and that the people with the Mega yachts need to do the work to get you to join in their company.

The old phrase beggars can't be choosers comes to mind and yet in spite of your begging, you seem to want to choose also. It doesn't work that way, the reason nobody is responding to your ad is because from their perspective you are a liability, not an asset.

Whatever it is that you think makes you so special, people don't see it and aren't interested enough to PM details of their trip so that you can tell them how whatever your secret skills are.

Well Lorrie, are you looking to crew anywhere?

Lorrie probably does not check this thread regularly, so you may need to send her a PM if you want to know what is her availability.
Thanks for commenting.

Ok so I am checking in and yes I would like to crew. I think the trip planned was a far stretch for my schedule. I would love to sail the Sea of Cortez so if there are any boats looking for crew, I will be in La Paz in the winter. I am a good cook, like to sail. i am lousy at telling jokes.
