Retired New Mexico Horse Rancher

I live at 5,000 feet in Eastern New Mexico and long to make ocean voyages. Expert watchstander and helmsman. If you have a well-found vessel and would like someone you can depend on to voyage anywhere, I have circled the globe, single-handed across oceans, designed and built rigs from scratch. I no longer have any Coast Guard credentials and am not looking to be paid as I have a small SS check and an even smaller VA check. Just want a deck under my feet and a destination. Long or short term.

Welcome Aboard CF Jonathan

How do you get your Gulfstar to sail up the side of a mountain?

Mine does lots of things, but not mountain climbing..

Re: retired New Mexico horse rancher

I don't know how to navigate around this forum yet but want to reply. Glorious doesn't sail uphill but goes to weather like a witch. I do have plans to build a land sailer that will sail up hill on my ranch. I, too, spent 15 years OTR .Had my own end dump in Alaska. Hauled snow in winter and dirt in summer. Used to know my way around Bahamas, Carrib, Central and South America as well as the Gulf Coast. Do you remember Trop.Storm Elena in Freeport, Tx. in the late 70's? I was the idiot who jumped from a 4 place 'copter onto the deck of Belcher barge #33 and salvaged it. So, if you know of a berth that might fit me, let me know.

I'm sure you will find a berth somewhere. Don't give up...
