In april, I plan to take my 1978 hunter sailboat from lake Erie through the Erie canal to Albany New York, then down the Hudson river down to New York city,
then go out around Sandy hook. Then back into the Inter coastal Waterway all the way to Titusville fl. I am 73 years old but in very good health.
I am divorced. I have two wonderful children. I would like to have some company. All you need to do is help pay for your own food and drink. If you are able to move around and dial 911 you will be fine. LOL .. I am from Florida. so I have been boating for a long, long, time.

Re: ronrpy44

Just to start a dialog, I'm curious, since I grew up in Central NY, I've always been interested in traveling the Erie Canal by water, but I wouldn't know how much additional time I would have time to accompany too much further down the ICW - do you have a feel for how many weeks total? & are you OK with folks not going the whole trip, especially if a replacement crew stepped on as one stepped off?

Re: ronrpy44

From people that have made the trip it should take about 6 weeks. It could take less. It depends on how many stops you want to make. hope that was helpful.
