Kelly, good luck with the purchase.

If you move the boat to Corpus, get one or two experienced guys to help. It's an overnighter from Galveston, plus it's a busy trip from Clear Lake to Galveston (ship channel traffic). Watch out for platforms offshore. There are many, especially around Matagorda and some are unlit.

If you go down the ICW, it will take most of three days with stops overnight. There is a bridge to open and two(?) locks. Also, a lot of barge traffic. It's a fun trip, except for the barges.

You should be able to get help from locals. If you have trouble, let me know. I know a guy, plus I might be able to help depending on when you plan on moving your new boat. This would be a great trip for experience as long as you have a knowlegeable captain.
