Sailing from Australia (East Coast)

Hi there!

I am a 25 y/o male originally from Austria and I am looking for an opportunity to crew on a sailing boat to sail out of Australia. I have been crewing on a sailing boat before and know the basics (I was sailing from Portugal to Spain). I am quite adventurous and like to travel, I have a very outgoing personality and I like to joke around, but I am also hard working, polite and very reliable.

I am healthy, physically fit and speak English, German and Spanish fluently. My original plan was to sail to New Caledonia to learn French, however, if we get along well, I am keen to continue th journey.

I am currently based in Brisbane but I am happy to travel wherever the boat is located.

I am a recent graduate (in film making), so I am not swimming in money. I would love to work my passage, however I am sure we can sort something out as long as it is reasonable.

Thanks for your interest,
Bernhard

You might find that you could fly over to New Zealand and make the trip north to Fiji or New Caledonia as the Kiwis frequently take crew on board their yachts for the trip north.

Re: Sailing from Australia (East Coast)

Thanks maxingout, I hope I can find someone who is currently in Australia and wants to start or continue their trip.

I promised myself that I am leaving this country by boat, so I am trying hard to make this happen.

Thanks for your advice,
Bernhard

Re: Sailing from Australia (East Coast)

hallo Bernhard,
wenn ich richtig verstehe, musst du ja am 15. Maerz schon Australien verlassen. Wenn das nicht aufzuschieben ist, dann hat meine Tour , beginnend am 20. April von Brisbane nach Bali keinen Sinn.
Sag mal Bescheid.

Re: Sailing from Australia (East Coast)

Hallo Ramon!
Vielen Dank für das Angebot, aber wie du das richtig verstanden hast muss ich spätestens in 2 Wochen von Australien ausreisen.
Danke und alles Gute für deine Reise!

I am still keen to crew on a boat which leaves Australia within the next two weeks. Please answer here or send me a message with details about your trip.

Cheers,
Bernhard
