Sailing from Florida January 2015

Hi.

I am sailing from Florida in January 2015, sailing south to the Caribbean. I do not have a schedule or a specific plan, just that I will be sailing for 6-7 months until July / August.

I am a 20 year old Norwegian working in the military at the moment. I am a calm and relaxed person who takes life day by day. I am a fit and healthy person. I speak English, learning the basics of a different language would be great. Diving, exploring islands and seeing amazing places is what I am looking for. I am not interested in rushing from place to place. If I find a location I like, I could easily stay there for some time.

I am looking for a person or two who is preferably around my age. Being laid back, polite, down to earth and have a sense of humor are qualities I appreciate. Communication is a must.

Send me a PM if you want more info or are interested!

Re: Sailing from Florida January 2015

Hello,

your Posts sounds interesting. I am german and working in Brazil, Recife at the Moment. I have relatives in Florida who I would like to visit for Christmas.
I would like to return to Brazil by boat.
I am traveling with my husband. He is Brazilian, 27 years old. I am 29 years old.
We are both working in a street Project for streetkids here in Brazil.
He is an art educator, dancing break Dance and capoeira.
I am myself doing Makrame (Artesanato) and I am a german/ english teacher.

Well, I would have some questions:
Do we need to have sailing experience?
How is it with the costs? Food etc.?
Where does the Crew sleep?

best mira

Re: Sailing from Florida January 2015

Mister smith, I think you got that backwards. October is hurricane season. December is not hurricane season. Also, Bahamas is not in the US Virgin Islands.

Something very fishy about your post....

I did not say that the US Virgin Islands was in the Bahamas I said we were going to either the Bahamas or the US Virgin Islands and you are 100% wrong November is the beginning of hurricane season December hurricanes near Cuba and through the straights are murder and if you're not interested then fine

Please educate yourself.

National Hurricane Center

from that site:

Hurricane Season Dates

Hurricane season in the Atlantic begins June 1st and ends November 30th. The Eastern Pacific hurricane season begins May 15th and also ends November 30th.

In the school I attended in the United States, "in Bahamas in the US Virgin Islands" means "Bahamas" is "in the US Virgin Islands". If you're still not convinced, please consult any English comprehension book.

I am 100% right. You are 100% wrong. November is IN the hurricane season. December is NOT in the hurricane season.

I'm further convinced you ought to take an airline flight to St Thomas. You would be a disaster on a boat.

Mister smith, do you realize that tree hopper is not offering a crew position, but is replying to the original post offering a crew position? Just what kind of drugs are you whacked out on?
