Re: Sailing out of Florida!?

Hi there,

I saw your post looking for crew opportunities in Florida.

I just lost a crew member to new work commitments. This Saturday April 18 we are heading out from St. Petersburg and hoping to make Stuart Tuesday 21 or Wednesday 22, where one crew member will be parting.

If you are available to hop on at that time, we will be departing to catch the Gulf Stream up to Beaufort North Carolina.

The boat is a 28' Bristol Channel Cutter.

Re: Sailing out of Florida!?

About how many days are you thinking for the trip? More of a delivery or leisure sail stopping along the way? More info on who else would be on board?

Thanks!

It's a delivery. We were planning on 8-10 days out from Stuart.

Other crew is inexperienced. One excellent navigator, former first mate on offshore fishing boat, good boat handler, almost no sailing experience.

One with racing experience 30 years ago.

We need a second experience sailor so that I won't have to do all the sail handling. By the time we make Stuart we will have been sailing for a couple days, so I am hoping the other crew will be better prepared.

Your PM inbox is full, but PM me for my phone number if you're interested.

I am a single 37 year old male from the USA with a very open schedule and would be interested in joining you on your next sailing adventure!

Short notice OK!

I do not drink, smoke, or do any drugs.

I am very easy going, outgoing, respectful, personable, positive attitude, great personality, sense of humor, gets along with everyone type. Absolutely no issues in any way.

Hopefully we can work something out!

Re: Sailing out of Florida!?

I also have very limited sailing experience, about 15 days total. Over 100+ total days on the water if you include power boats. Let me know if you would still be interested?
