Saint Petersburg, FL - Newport, RI

I am looking for well experienced crew to sail from Saint Petersburg, FL to Newport, RI, at the end of April on my Moody 46, a very well-equipped, excellent sailing boat with very comfortable accommodations. Experience on this East Coast route a plus.

I am a delivery captain with lots of east coast experience. Pay required. I do many owner assisted deliveries. Let me know if you need my help.

Might be interested depending on the dates. I can spare a week to 10 days early May and have done ICW from Portsmouth VA to Charleston. You probably want to go offshore, so I have helped with a delivery from St Martin to Newport in 2013 More than 5000 mi offshore with most from 2008 to 2013. Have owned a dozen boats and have more than 40 years of sailing experience. What is your time frame and route? It sounds as though you're planning harbor hopping up the coast. Offshore saves time if you have appropriate weather windows.

We are planning to leave marathon heading to AC around 4/15. If you could move up a couple weeks we could sail together

Let me know the dates ...and your schedule... I owned and sailed sailboats up the coast to Newport... I was born there (Newport). Planning outside or inside?

Re: Saint Petersburg, FL - Newport, RI

Am interested; have done entire west coast up to Ketchecan (eg Seattle to Ketchecan & back 2013; Seattle to California then Galveston to Stuart in 2014) and part of the gulf but only locally around Stuart on FL east coast.

Can you get across Okeechobee with your draft & mast height?

Regards
Eric
