Crew Wanted: San Diego to Mackay (OZ)

Two older guys looking for additional bod to help sail 43' from San Diego via Marquesas, Tahiti,Tonga etc to Mackay QLD.
Some experience preferred,leaving late April early May.
If you're prepared to contribute to food it would be good!

Hey Our Doug,

My girlfriend, Yaz (24) and I (25) are currently crewing with a 52' Amel Ketch and it's owners as far as the Society Islands in French Polynesia. We have crewed with another boat from Los Angeles and with this boat from Panama to Galapagos (where I write this from) and will leave this boat in July somewhere in the Society Islands in June/July.

We're happy to share food costs and will pay our individual expenses in terms of visas, etc. We're qualified to RYA Competent Crew level and have 2,600 miles and 200+ night hours logged so far although by the time we reach French Polynesia this will have doubled. We like to cook and are happy to clean and so on.

Is there a chance you might be stopping in Samoa? I am hoping to make the trip from CA to Samoa sometime this year. Sounds like you are coming closer than any of the other posts I have seen on this sight.

Sounds fantastic and i am interested. Would like to know where you will possibly be around mid July and if you would accept any passangers and crew from this point or if you only want someone direct from San Diego. When do you anticipate arriving in Marqueses. I am 27 yr old male from South Africa. Finish up my current job end of June after which i am looking at flying out somewhere to join a boat. I am new to this, but keen to learn, go along for the ride. Happy to contribute where i can. Am not a bad cook either. Thanks.
