Saucy Hits the Mersey

Hi Folks,

I got news this morning that my Dad died last night, so I'll be flying back to Liverpool tonight. If you're planning on sailing anywhere near the Mersey or Dee estuary (in fact, anywhere in that quarter of the country - I'll be renting a car) over the next few weeks, I'm guessing I'll be able to use a bit of light relief - so let me know.....

Really sorry for your loss. My own father died 10 months ago - It gets better, but it also takes time.

Get together with other very close relatives and reminise over the high points of his life with you - it really helps to celebrate his life rather than mourn his loss.

Sorry to hear that Kate,
My Dad passed away couple of years ago, and we placed his ashes on the Mersey, as this was the place he used to sail out from on the convoys.
I'll be away for the time your back in Liverpool, shame, other wise could have gone for a sail

Thank you everyone for your kind words. As I write, I'm trying to make a list of the good times, so I won't be stuck for words...
