Someone to Share Bluewater Adventure with Young Aussie

Hi my name's Alex. I'm a 22 year old guy sailing a Nicholson 32.
i've been sailing on cruising yachts since I was 5 and have owned my own boat for nearly a year sailing solo along the east coast of Australia and preparing my boat to do a circumnavigation. i am now ready to set off and would love to share the adventure with someone. I will be leaving from Sydney Australia to the bay of islands in New Zealand as soon as there is a good weather window. possibly in a few days time so i would be looking to have someone join me either in Sydney or more likely New Zealand. The plan is to sail to wherever we feel like going and just live the life for a while doing lots of spearfishing/freediving along the way. food costs would be shared. The boat is an extremely capable little bluewater cruiser and without going into details, it has all the best safety gear.

so if you're someone who has some time for an amazing adventure and you're interested, drop me a line.

cheers

Hi Alex,
Your journey sounds like a dream, I'm an Australian guy and I'm sad I'm not in Australia at the moment, I'm in Argentina, if you are planning on heading anywhere near here of the Caribbean give me a shout. I have no experince, but love adventure and I'm willing to learn.

Cheers,
Tom

For what its worth, you'd probably do better to head east and cruise around the pacific islands for a while. Come down with everybody else in Sep/Oct and then cruise around NZ in nicer weather.

My 2c from a Kiwi.

Boy,do I agree with that! A trans Tasman with the sort of wx that has been plaguing that area of late would not be wise IMO.

Wonder where Alex is now considering that his initial post was back in April.
