South Africa to South America

Looking for one, or possibly a couple, of crew for a passage from Cape Town to northern Brazil (possibly carrying on to Grenada) with my wife and myself. Departure date would be just after Christmas with one shortish stop in St Helena, so lots of sea time. At least some experience with passage-making is needed since this is a long trip and not the place to find out you get sea-sick or bored. Non-smoker preferred and reference required. We will provide references to you as well.

The boat is a well-equipped Bristol 45.5

Re: South Africa to South America

Hi, i'm Willy, an italian skipper, 36 years old, i did lots of charter and races, i cross atlantic last year. Actually i work on a big sailboat in mediterrean until october. I'm planning to go auckland or capetown for yachmaster courses in end october, and after i will be free and i want to find a boat for some navigation, your plan sounds good. If you need i can send my CV.
Thanks
P.S: i'm a good cook

AiniA,

If you are planning to come through Bahia (NE Brazil) then it might be interesting you take a look at the Nautical Guide Bahia, where you can find loads of waypoints, and all about the formalities of entry with your ship.

Re: South Africa to South America

Hi. I'm Bill Anderson, 58 year old retired firefighter/medic. I have been doing ocean sailind since 1980. In April I crewed from Panama to North Carolina on a 65 ft sloop. In June I will crew from Bermuda to New Port, RI, and July from Machinaw to Chicago. I like to cook and always travel with a guitar. I recently completed the class for U.S. Coast Guard OUPV and need sea time to qualify for my license. I am in good shape. e-mail wdconch@aol.com
