Re: St Martin to W.Australia

I know nothing of the West Coast weather in June but the cyclones will be gone. They had one last week.

If he can pass through Torres by 1 June he will have done well.

i'm sure he will go as fast as safely possable, though july- august would be more realistic.

Hi, I'm currently in Fort Lauderdale and arrived here from Australia 3 weeks ago to sail back across the pacific with a friend who bought a yacht in newport and wanted to sail it back to Oz. The trip has been cancelled, I still want to do the crossing. Can send you a CV if your intrested but I see hundred of clicks on your sight. I'm an Australian/African woman based in Cairns, Australia. ex restauranter bla bla bla, would like to hear back from you.
Cheers

Actually plan A was going quite well till the electrical fire which downed our systems like autopilot etc...
We had 3 days of S'lies then the winds went N and stayed there... we were over 700miles out when things crashed and I had to run back and down to St Martin...
Plan A to Caape Town along the old Clipper Route was a good one...
just the luck was not...
But thanks for all the great advice and wishes.. things are now just about sorted... just waiting for the electronic charts for the Pacific and Oz to arrive... hope to be raising the hook Monday or Tuesday...

David... I sent you an e-mail a while back expressing the owners opinion and concerns... thought you understood as you posted a 'Good Luck on the trip' message here in this thread... its not my boat... I do as the owner says...
Hope you find a ride that meets your needs...
Phil
