St Petersburg to Ft Lauderdale

Crew wanted for trip from st Petersburg via key west to ft lauderdale, your contribution is share the watches, have fun while doing it and beverages, non alcoholic while sailing, short stop in ME. If you need lift back to st Petersburg it can be arranged as I need to fetch my vehicle from there.
Contact Willem. The boat is a Columbia 34 that has been prepared over the past four weeks for the trip

Re: st petersburg to ft lauderdale

when are you leaving? my 16 yr son and I are looking for sailing experience, before we go to Rio Dulce to look for a sailboat. How long do you expect your trip to take? we'll bring hard work, a good attitude and some humor to your expedition.

Hi, I'm Larry...I'm interested. I'm a 49 yr old experienced boater (but not an experienced "sailor").

Re: st petersburg to ft lauderdale

Hello. I am an experienced sailor and have helped moved boats in Florida. The last trip was 205nm in the gulf, a straight shot from Panama City Beach to Clearwater on the heels of Sandy. What are your anticipated move date(s)?

Re: st petersburg to ft lauderdale

My name is Isaac, it has been two years since I started traveling and I have gone around the world and back. I have been moving across land from Hong Kong to England and am now looking for passage across the Atlantic. Quite willing to make my way back to Russia or at least Helsinki to meet you in the beginning of the journey.

I am American / English and grew up sailing in Maine waters throughout New England as well as the Cyclades and Ionian isles in Greece. My sea legs are strong and I am extremely motivated.

I am an experienced cook and sailor, happy and excited to do whatever I takes to prove my competence.

Very much look forward to hearing from you

Isaac, your understanding of geography is correct. However, when the OP mentioned St Petersburg, I suspect he meant the little one in Florida, USA. Not the big one in Russia.

This is an international forum but some people forget that.

There is more than one Saint Petersburg. See Saint Petersburg (disambiguation) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia I assume the OP is talking about St. Petersburg, Florida, since St. Petersburg, Pennsylvania seems a bit land locked and St. Petersburg, Russia is very distant.

Re: St Petersburg to Ft Lauderdale

Unless Im the worlds silliest goose and ME does not stand for Maine. At any rate, anyone sailing from or to Maine who needs a former teachers assistant capable of all the heavy lifting to volunteer I would love to.

Just out of curiosity, are you planning to go via the keys or cut across Okeechobee?
