Crew Available: Sydney - Sailing Opportunities

I'll be in Sydney from June 10-17 and July 12-14 and am looking for a way to go out sailing around Sydney just for a day. I can't afford one of the charter-type cruises and wouldn't want to impose on anyone, but would just love to get the chance to get some salt-spray on my face again and see Sydney from the sea, even if just for a few hours! I'm not a very experienced deckhand, but a very willing one and a quick learner, so if anyone wants to go out for a spin, even if it's just to get the engine running a bit and to stop the build-up of barnacles, please let me know. Hi, i am Australian and have recently returned to Sydney for 6 months. During this time i found the Cruising Yacht Club in Rushcutters Bay and excellent place for getting on a boat. Turn up on Wednesday or Saturday mornings to get a place on a boat, it may be a race and you may need to contribute to a couple of beers, but everyone if very friendly.
