Re: TransAt: Caribbean to Gibraltar - May 2011 - 2 More Crew Wanted

Oh and hi to others, yep i'm still looking.

Also hi to Marcel, who is from France. Hee haw heew haw, yes, he is tres francais. I remember we sailed from gib to canaries last year, and marcel asked about all the English words for things/weather being wet/damp/humid etc, and we covered the idea of biscuits/cookies being "soggy" and also that regardless of how much he stood out in the rain that he should never EVER say that he was "moist", ahem...

Still looking for crew? I am available and hope to be in St, Maarten around the beginning of May. I am an experienced sailor, excellent cook and easy to get along with.

Re: TransAt: Caribbean to Gibraltar - May 2011 - 2 More Crew Wanted

I've been reading "crew wanted" waiting for the right ad to draw me to spend a month confined on a boat with strangers. Your's grabbed me, too bad the dates don't work for me. I'm a lifelong inland boater from Illinois. I'm suddenly drawn to sails and open sea and figure the best way to learn is to hop on and just go. I'm 44, female, my youngest child is 23 so I'm free to go where I please. I'll keep my eyes open for your next trip.

ps - I'll tell you right now I can't cook. I'm not unwilling, I just can't seem to make anything anyone is willing to eat. But I never drink on the job, ever and I'm extremely tidy. If there's one thing I can't stand it's something being out of place. I have a sense of adventure, humor, a good work ethic, and I'm a fast learner. Safe passage to you and your crew.
