Crew Available: West Coast USA --> New Zealand/Australia (August-October 2014)

Hello,

I am an Undergraduate at UCSD that is preparing to graduate in June 2014. I am interested in crewing a vessel traveling from the West Coast of the United States of America to either New Zealand or Australia during Late June-October of 2014, where I would then plan to make landfall for some backpacking.

I was a crew member on the Old Glory, a Calkins 50 docked in San Diego until the captain of the vessel passed away last year. In addition to the sailing experience I obtained on this vessel, I have been a camp counselor at Mission Bay Sports Center in San Diego for three years, and am very proficient on the 22ft sailing boats that we teach kids how to sail on throughout the summer months.

While my experience on larger vessels is somewhat limited, I am a hard worker and am familiar with life on the water.
