What's Your Advice on Which Port City to Move to ?

Hello Everyone!

I'm looking for work as a crew member, being inexperienced on the ocean I'm thinking of moving to a port city in November and trying my luck at the harbor. Knowing of sailing only what is on the internet I'm open to advice on where will be a good city to look for work/ride-along/shared expense. Considering Hampton, VA in time for the Caribbean 1500. San Francisco or San Diego in hopes to make it south to Panama by March.

Here's some background info on me

I hope to live out the dream of traveling across the world! Daily i think of my favorite quote, "Feast on your life" If you are looking for a crewmember with a plethora of experience in medical, mechanical, and cooking I am ready to work for you. You will gain from me experience as the squad EMT on a wildland firefighting crew. Woodworker as a hobby and summer job in high school. I love spending hours navigating and enjoying the snowy Wasatch mountains. I prepare nutritious meals for my fire fighting crew of 20. Trained in River Rescue while working as a Whitewater Tour Guide on the Snake RIver. Planned, entertained, and guide on week long river trips. Informal experience working on motorcycles. Looking forward to going on a great adventure with you! I want to leave the land and set sail on an adventure!

Qualifications
PADI Scuba Certified
River Rescue Technician

Experience planning, guiding, entertaining on weeklong river trips

Hardworking and Cheerful

Thanks for your time
