Crew Available: Where to Go

Hi All,

Due to immigration issues, I have six months where I need to leave the US before I can return to sail my boat from Houston to Newfoundland. So the best bet would be to use this time to get more sailing experience.

Can anybody recommend a good location where to best stand the chance of getting on as crew on a vessel making a long passage?

It appears like somewhere in the vacinity of Grenada has alot of postings looking for crew.

What about the Rio Dulce, Guatemala? That seems to be an area highly saturated with cruisers.

Anyhow, advice would be greatly aprreciated.
