General Info: 440 refit location???

Hello Lagoon family!
Proud to say we finally did it - we are the new owners of a 2006 440!!
Of the many Q's I have I must say thanks first to all of you that have spent so much time posting much needed info. I've been soaking it all in.

Q: Where would you refit while in the Caribbean? FB is lying in the BVI now but either next or the following year I will be looking to sail her to our home in Tampa Bay. She needs a generator now but can wait for re-power and all the other old 440 stuff. Just installed a new main and genoa is ok. She'll ideally need new standing rigging and working lines and all the fun stuff in between for the journey around leewards and windwards then eventually north to our Ruskin FL home. If you could do it again or choose, refit in PR or other or do essentials and wait till at home base?

Figured I wouldn't reinvent the wheel here since I know you have all the answers. I prefer to stand on the shoulders of giants than walk alone...

I can't really be of much help but I have a question, Is US tax paid on your boat or are you planning to pay it? Good luck, Hope to do the same in the not to distant future.
